I'm a piano and guitar teacher, based in Notting Hill, with over 30 years playing experience, and 15 years teaching music in primary and secondary schools, before opening up my own music studio.

Alongside teaching, I’m also a composer and performer, and I continue to write, record, and play music regularly. That ongoing creative work feeds directly into my teaching — helping pupils understand music as a living language, not just something written on a page. Check out some of my compositions here.

I teach piano, guitar, ukulele, and keyboard, working both in person and online with children and adults across the UK.

My lessons focus on building confidence, musical understanding, and enjoyment. Some pupils work towards ABRSM or Trinity exams; others play simply because music is something they want back in their lives.

I’m particularly experienced in:

• teaching beginners sensitively

• helping children focus and stay motivated

• supporting adult learners returning to music

• adapting lessons to the individual, rather than forcing a fixed method

I also offer correspondence tuition, where pupils send recordings and receive detailed video feedback — ideal for those who want thoughtful, reflective guidance between lessons.
